So I’m off on another adventure, this time in Amsterdam and Provence, France. I’m going to challenge myself to write daily, focusing on one aspect of my day (and only one photo. The real challenge!). For more photos, check out my Facebook page. I had a long layover in one of my favorite cities, Amsterdam. My goal was to visit the Albert Cuyp Market, one of the largest in Europe. They had it all: cheap clothes, meats, cheeses (Gouda, natuurlijk), toys, purses. I managed to buy nothing, bit it was challenging! It made for a great stroll and photo opps.

It’s easy to pick up some gouda at your local Albert Heijn grocery store in Amsterdam, but you want the real experience! You want to be fed slivers of salty goodness by a plump gnome-looking woman wearing wooden shoes.
