If you haven’t viewed The Perennial Plate’s amazing travel videos, go there immediately. After reading this post, of course! Daniel Klein and Mirra Fine (who got engaged in one of the episodes) do a marvelous job of summarizing their travels and food adventures in videos.
This one is particularly good. With the theme “travel is more than the seeing of sights,” you see the people they’ve met and the experiences they’ve had through their eyes. And I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment. Travel makes us who we are. It provides experiences that change us forever. A piece of farm-fresh cheese, the view from the tower of the Sacre Coeur, getting lost in London…these are the experiences that I guard closely to my heart, and make the stories I tell again and again.
