If you ask me what one city you should visit in southern France, I’m going to say Nice. It’s a beautiful coastal town, metropolitan without being overwhelming, and full of things to see (and eat).
Though I’d been before when I was in my 20s, I somehow hadn’t made it over to the Nice harbor. On my trip in 2017, I took a tour and loved the multicolored boats with the mountain in the background. Ferries leave the harbor for Italy, other points in France, and Morocco, and I love the sense of adventure yet to come here.
