Photo Friday: Pop Art in Palm Springs

Rachel and I were stopped in our tracks at the sight of two Transformer-like larger-than-life statues outside of Elena Bulatova Fine Art Palm Springs. That, and the gorgeous man who was standing next to them. Beyond the spectacle, we could see neon pops of color with these giant lollipop sculptures. Pop art in Palm Springs? Count us in.

We took one look at each other and headed inside.

I used to be intimidated by art galleries. I thought the people who worked there would sneer at my broke-ass self entering their domain, unable to buy anything. But I’ve gotten over it, and I’ve found that visiting art galleries is a great way to get a feel for a city without investing all afternoon (and money) in visiting a formal art museum.
